Your agreement with Growsle when using our platform
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Growsle ("the Service," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use Growsle.
Plain English: By signing up or using Growsle in any way, you agree to these rules. They protect both you and us — please read them carefully.
2. Description of Service
Growsle is an AI-powered parenting guidance platform providing personalised daily tips, milestone tracking, bedtime story generation, and parenting Q&A based on your child's age and developmental stage. The Service is offered on a subscription basis with a free tier and paid membership plans.
3. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use Growsle
- You must be a legal guardian or parent of any child whose information you enter
- You must provide accurate, truthful registration information at all times
- One account per person — creating multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits is prohibited
- Growsle is available globally but complies with local laws; availability may be restricted in certain regions
4. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] of any unauthorised use. Growsle cannot be liable for loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this obligation.
5. Subscription, Billing & Cancellation
- Free Plan: Access to limited features at no cost, no credit card required
- Paid Plans: Billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout via Stripe
- Cancellation: Cancel anytime. Access continues until the end of your billing period. No partial refunds for mid-period cancellations
- Refunds: We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for first-time subscribers who are unsatisfied
- Price Changes: We will provide 30 days' written notice before any price increase takes effect
- Failed Payments: Accounts are downgraded to the free tier after a 7-day grace period following a failed payment
6. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to use Growsle to:
- Share, sell, or distribute your account access to others
- Reverse engineer, copy, or reproduce any part of the Service
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Scrape, harvest, or extract data from the platform by automated means
- Use the Service for commercial purposes without prior written permission
- Impersonate any person, entity, or Growsle staff member
- Transmit harmful, abusive, or unlawful content through the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
7. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of Growsle — including text, graphics, logos, AI models, and software — are the exclusive property of Growsle and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
8. Termination
Growsle reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct harmful to the platform, other users, or the public. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Growsle shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, or goodwill — arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Growsle's total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Growsle, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration as described in Section 12.
12. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration
Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be attempted informally by contacting [email protected]. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be settled by binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association rules.
Class Action Waiver: You agree that disputes will be resolved on an individual basis only — not as part of any class or representative action. You waive the right to a jury trial or class action lawsuit.
13. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues
- To comply with legal obligations
- To improve our AI models using anonymised, aggregated data only
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share data only with: Service Providers (Stripe, AWS, SendGrid, OpenAI — all bound by strict data processing agreements); Legal Authorities when required by law; and in the event of a Business Transfer, where you will be notified and given the option to delete your data before any transfer.
4. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time. Child profile data is permanently deleted within 30 days of account closure.
5. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
- Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion: Request permanent deletion of your personal data
- Portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Objection: Object to certain types of processing including direct marketing
- Opt-out of Sale: California residents may opt out (note: we do not sell data)

6. International Data Transfers
Growsle is operated from the United States. Data from EEA residents is transferred under Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
Children's Privacy (COPPA)
Special protections for data relating to children
Important: Growsle is a service for parents and guardians — not for children. Children under 13 must never create accounts or use the Service directly.
COPPA Compliance
Growsle complies fully with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Our Service is designed exclusively for use by parents and guardians.
Child Profile Data
When you enter information about your child, that data is:
- Stored securely and used only to personalise guidance for the parent or guardian
- Never used for advertising, marketing, or profiling purposes
- Never shared with third parties except as required to deliver the Service
- Permanently deleted within 30 days when a parent requests account closure
Parental Control
As the account holder and legal guardian, you have complete control over your child's data. Review, update, or delete any child profile at any time from account settings or by contacting [email protected].
Discovery of Underage Registration
If we discover a child under 13 has created an account, we will immediately suspend the account, delete all associated data, and notify the registered email address. If you believe a child has registered without consent, contact us immediately.

- Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted is encrypted using TLS 1.3
- Encryption at Rest: All stored personal data is encrypted using AES-256
- Password Security: Passwords are hashed using bcrypt — never stored in plain text

Vulnerability Disclosure
If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it responsibly to [email protected]. Do not publicly disclose until we have addressed it. We commit to acknowledging your report within 48 hours.
Bug Bounty: We appreciate responsible disclosure and may offer recognition or compensation for significant security findings at our discretion.

Growsle uses large language model (LLM) technology to generate personalised parenting guidance. Our AI is informed by general parenting research, child development literature, and expert resources, then personalised using information you provide about your child.
AI Limitations — What You Must Know
- Not Always Accurate: AI can make mistakes, misunderstand context, or generate outdated information
- Not Personalised Medical Advice: The AI does not know your child's full medical history or individual health circumstances
- Knowledge Limits: The AI's training has cut-off dates and may not reflect the most current research
- Cultural Variance: Guidance reflects general developmental psychology and may not account for all cultural contexts
- Not a Crisis Resource: In any emergency, contact emergency services immediately. Do not rely on Growsle
No Liability for AI Errors
Growsle expressly disclaims all liability for any harm, loss, or damage arising from reliance on AI-generated content. By using Growsle, you acknowledge the limitations of AI and agree to consult qualified professionals when appropriate.
